The thirty three thieves thought that they thrilled the throne throughout Thursday. This next tongue twister focuses on two sounds that I think most students of English find very difficult because they're not very common sounds in most other languages. Those two sounds are /θ/ and /ð/ So the first one is unvoiced, so the sound is in your mouth, and the second sound is voiced, which means the sound is down here in your vocal chords, so you can feel your throat vibrate, if you put your hand on your throat. So /θ/ and /ð/ So the first sound is common to say words like 'thumb' and the second sound is common to say words like 'mother'.

OK now this is quite a difficult one, so it takes some practice. Don't worry if you don't get it first time. I'll take it slowly with you and then we can do it a bit more quickly later.
