How to pronounce /w/ in English
The next two tongue twisters will teach you how to make the /w/ sound in English pronunciation. We'll start with the tongue twister "Wayne went to Wales to watch walruses" and then we'll move on to "If two witches watched two watches, which witch would watch which watch?"
"If two witches watched which..."
Let's have a look at the /w/ sound. Here's the tongue twister. "Wayne went to Wales to watch walruses". So obviously this tongue twister repeats the /w/ sound. It's quite a short and simple one. "Wayne went to Wales to watch walruses". Here are the vowel sounds in that tongue twister.
Here's a longer one. "If two witches watched two watches, which witch would watch which watch?" So you really need to take this one slowly the first time you practise it and then you can build up to it later.
So your homework is to practise those tongue twisters.
