• If you hair is normal length just now, why you say ” I had my hair cut” and put it in deep past?
Why would you say ” I have my hair cut”?

  • Excuse me, why DO you say…

Hi Tivita, if you’ve just been to the hairdresser’s, the action is in the past completed by another person for you. So you would say, “I had my hair cut today”. If you want to use the infinitive to refer to a habit, something which is always true, you could say, “I have my hair cut every month”. I hope that helps.

    Regards, Dan.
